Street Artist - Jogja

Gamelan sound broke the roar of passing vehicles at the intersection Ringroad Jl.Kaliurang ... Seconds that run backwards from 80 did not dampen the breadwinner was dancing in front of the vehicle is stopped waiting for the number changed to 0 and the light turns green ...

Jogja City Artists, wonder if at some crossroads town we find artists who dance to the accompaniment of gamelan (traditional Javanese music instruments). For some people, this show could become their own entertainment. Because of the unusual intersection crowded with beggars or street children change a simple art show with musical instruments and costumes are simple, too. Usually they work in groups, three or four people. There are playing gamelan, and there is dancing. With bare feet, they dance on the asphalt road that if the daytime heat would burn the soles of their. But this is the way they pursue the lawful currency on the streets. Once the second number reaches 15, the dancers finished their dance and collecting coins and paper rupiahs from riders around the scope.

When seen from afar they look really ordinary. But if observed closely as they look sometimes seem a little creepy ... ^ _ ^ because they are improvised ornamentation. To me, this is much more attractive compared to when I stopped at the intersection of the street and was approached beggars

This is just a piece of the portrait of the city of Yogyakarta with immense nostalgia ....
